I would like to visit Buenos Aires, Argentina.

I would love visit Argentina, particularly Buenos Aires because I have some friends who fell in love with this city after they visited it. There are many things about this city that I find interesting and exciting. For example, the big number of people who come from other Latin American or European countries gives to this city many cultural possibilities and you can meet a lot of foreign people if you sleep in a hostel. I would like to buy many many books because I know Argentina has a 0% book tax, explains to the very low price of books.

Also, I would like to visit Buenos Aires, because there are many bellydance teachers. The Oriental culture is really developed in Argentina, and they have a lot of famous and excellent bellydancers and Oriental musicians and drummers. I really love to have dancing lessons with different teachers and different styles.

With regard to my career (psychology) I would go to Argentina because this country has many experience in alternative therapies in psychology, like dance therapy. I like this kind of therapies that connect the people with their body experiencing and providing benefits in psychological dimension. In Chile, we don´t have professional training on dance therapy, but in Argentina there are many academics and teachers.

In the future, I would like to live in Buenos Aires a couple of years.

My first term of 2010 summary

The first 2010 semester wasn´t so difficult like I thought (in the studies). I had only 4 subjects at the University, and all of them were interesting. Particulary, I loved Humanistic Psychology, and I learned too much about it. I learned too much about Experiential Psychotherapy and Focusing, and obviously, Gendlin´s theory. I had another course about Chilean society sexuality, it was really original, because we talked about homosexuality, abort, religion, etc.

About free time activities, this term and the last one I continue dancing in the Tribu Raks Gothique (a tribal bellydancing company), and I went to traditional bellydancing classes at the University. It was so great! With the teacher of these classes we organized the first bellydancing meet in Juan Gómez Millas, we achieved to meet a big number of dancers (bellydancers, tribal bellydancers and flamenco dancers) in a very beautiful show. Actually, it was a challenge.

But, the most difficult challenge I had to face during the first term was improve the relationship with my boyfriend, because we had a lot of troubles. We have been together five years, but in the last time the things don´t went really good. But now, we find solutions and we are very happy!

With regard to friends, I didn´t meet with their because they are working in their practices.

In conclusion, the last term was a successful time despite the problems and challenge. I learned about formal and life knowledge.
